RMAS 1964.  I think.  Loading up with platoon stores at the SQMS’s hut at the end on the college building:  Bud, Tim. Grant, David, Jock (Where is/was Jock Nixon).

On exercise with Capt Mike Reynolds in the Aldershot area.

Same exercise warm weather and tons of mozzies.  Bill, Eddie, ?, Charles and Peter H.  I wish I was that skinny now

Same UK exercise Ian Morris is a basha busy doing sod-all before a night exercise.

UK exercise with Ben, Grant and Mike.  The mozzies had a really good go at Grant and off he went to Aldershot Hospital a few days later looking like a balloon.

UK exercise.  Bill Legge doing even less that Ian Morris.

Riot drills at the RMA over by the ranges.  Rent-a-mob provided by the staff.  I have a few more, and better, photographs of this training but I can’t find them at the moment.  We always shot the man in the red shirt.  Much later, here in Australia, I ran a big software development project and used to tell a young programmer who was acting the clot that he was in danger of being “The Man In The Red Shirt.”

On holiday 1965.  Charles Peter and Martin Lance (I think) who had a swanky flat on the Med coast and we stayed with him for a few days before going camping – we overstayed our welcome and would be greeted by Martin “Go camping!”

Holiday 1965.  Lake Garda, Northern Italy.  Peter’s car and our rotten tents – my fault as I swore that we would not need any.

Holiday 1965.  Charles and Peter.

Holiday 1965.  Bill Legge complete with packet of cigarettes in top pocket – I didn’t give up until 2001

Holiday 1965. Peter Munro.

Holiday 1965.  Bill Legge

Parachute course at Abingdon?  Jock Nixon.  Was that the best photograph of the whole course?  I injured my shoulder on the third jump (l landed on top of Peter Hallett – I think).  Went back a moth later to finish the course with the Artis Rifles (23 SAS?)

Libya 1965.  Our last visit.  Tim Holmes and Bill Legge at the base camp.  My favourite memory of this camp was hearing a few hundred cadets sing, in tune oddly enough, the crude version of “Who Killed Cock Robin.”  Photography has progressed to colour.

Libya 1965.  Grant, Eddie, Charles, Ben – was this really 1965 – I thought that Ben had left by then?
